Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Security, Deputy Director of Security, and Manager of Security to create comprehensive security plans.
  • Oversee day-to-day security operations within the university and hospital premises.
  • Manage security personnel, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure the enforcement of security protocols and procedures.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for various scenarios, such as fire, natural disasters, and security incidents.
  • Coordinate drills and training sessions to prepare staff for emergencies.
  • Implement and manage surveillance systems to monitor key areas.
  • Oversee access control systems to regulate entry and exit points.
  • Work closely with other departments, law enforcement agencies, and emergency services to enhance security measures.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, patients, and visitors regarding security procedures and measures.
  • Conduct or oversee investigations into security incidents or breaches.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary and ensure proper documentation of incidents.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in security technology and recommend upgrades or new implementations.
  • Manage the maintenance and functionality of security equipment.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Stay informed about changes in security regulations and adjust procedures accordingly.
  • Assist in the development and management of the security budget.
  • Optimize resource allocation to achieve security objectives efficiently.
  • Provide ongoing training for security personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the security team.
  • Generate regular reports on security incidents, investigations, and overall security performance.
  • Present findings and recommendations to the Director of Security and other relevant stakeholders.
