Riphah Institute of Healthcare Improvement and Safety, seeking the Research Manager leads the research function at RIHIS, ensuring strategic planning, quality execution, ethical compliance, and impactful dissemination of research outcomes. The role also includes managing institutional research assets such as the Patient Safety Registry and institutional journal, facilitating collaborations, and enhancing research capacity across projects and programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in health-related subjects as basic requirement. Masters degree (preferred) like MPhil/MS or equivalent from HEC-recognized university in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Policy, Health Management, or related field.
  • Certifications, diplomas and postgraduate degrees in health research and project management will be preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years and preferred 5 years of progressively responsible experience in research related positions and projects, related project management working in related organizations and companies, and publication of research.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the research strategy, policies, and procedures aligned with institutional goals.
  • Oversee and manage all ongoing research projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Identify, design, and launch new research initiatives, grant proposals, and collaborative opportunities.
  • Lead development and operationalization of the Patient Safety Registry, ensuring quality data collection, entry, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ensure ethical approval and regulatory compliance for all studies, including data protection and patient safety guidelines.
  • Develop research dissemination plans including journal publications and policy briefs.
  • Manage editorial and operational processes for publishing the institutional journal.
  • Establish and strengthen partnerships with universities, think tanks, and public/private sector institutions.
  • Build internal research capacity through mentorship, training, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Implement quality improvement methods and monitoring systems for research workflows and registry operations.
  • Plan and organize research conferences, workshops, & other activities.
