The Social Media Executive is responsible for maintaining the universitys official accounts across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and X. The role involves planning monthly content calendars, executing paid social advertising campaigns, monitoring performance metrics, and staying ahead of social media trends to recommend innovative ideas that increase reach. Responsive community management and professional interaction with followers ensure a strong online presence. Although this position does not include team management, it requires excellent coordination skills for working alongside marketing, design, and content production teams as well as external partners like influencers and digital agencies.
Responsibilities
- Develop engaging social media content including posts, captions, stories, and reels that align with brand guidelines and resonate with target audiences.
- Create and maintain monthly social media calendars to ensure consistent and timely publishing across all official university social media platforms.
- Manage active social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, X, and others, ensuring consistent engagement and meaningful audience interactions.
- Respond promptly and professionally to comments, messages, and inquiries to foster a positive and interactive online community.
- Collaborate with graphic design and marketing teams to produce creative visuals and campaign concepts that support content goals and enhance brand identity.
- Assist in planning and executing paid social advertising campaigns, including boosting posts and managing advertisements to increase reach and engagement.
- Monitor the effectiveness of social media campaigns through detailed performance tracking, delivering insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly analytics reports covering page insights, engagement rates, audience growth, and campaign results.
- Continuously research and stay current with social media trends, viral content, and platform algorithm updates to inform content strategy and maximize impact.
- Propose innovative ideas and strategies to improve social media reach, community engagement, and overall brand visibility.
- Coordinate closely with marketing, design, and video production teams to ensure smooth content development and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Work in partnership with external stakeholders such as influencers, bloggers, and digital agencies to expand the universitys presence and influence across social media.
