Riphah International University is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Professor of Surgery to join our esteemed faculty. Responsibilities
To arrange and give Lectures for students of MBBS / BDS Lectures/Seminars/Clinical and practical skills, small group discussions, Evaluation, and Assessment according to curriculum.
To facilitate the Postgraduate trainees (FCPS and MCPS) for Clinical Presentation, Small Group Discussion, case-based and problem-based teaching, Journal Club, Teaching Psychomotor skills, and preparation for inter-module examination and dissertation.
To assist the Head of Department / Professor in organizing CPC/ clinical meetings and conferences in collaboration with other professional organizations
To coordinate and facilitate faculty members and Postgraduate trainees in the area of research and development through continuous education and learning environment and facilitate their publications requirements as part of the career development research activities of the department.
To convey the knowledge for basic management of common problems of patient care, e.g. emergency treatment, management of emergencies, and decision for appropriate treatment to develop clinical and practical skills of students.
To ensure regular OPD sessions for continuing medical care and manage/supervise new patients referred for specialist advice.
To ensure regular clinical rounds of the ward to manage /supervise the progress and care of the indoor patients
To conduct medical procedures in the ward under the supervision of senior consultants and develop proper monitoring mechanisms to ensure that all recommended diagnostics and investigations are carried out.
To ensure on-call commitments after regular duty hours to provide cover to critical patients round the clock.
To assist the Head of Department / Professor in departmental confidential inquiries of mortalities
To manage, supervise, and train PGs/ MOs/ HOs and other paramedical staff to ensure the delivery of quality health services to the patients and enhance patient management skills of the staff
