Senior Manager Procurement

To be responsible for Procurement Operations of Riphah International University and Islamic International Medical College-Trust and ensuring strategizing and negotiating with supplier and vendors to acquire cost effective procurement deals and managing costs within budgets efficiently.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To develop effective procurement strategies to ensure cost effective deals for the organization in consultation with stakeholders.
  • To ensure credible suppliers and vendors for procurement items and ensure proper vendor registration and database.
  • To ensure proper negotiations with suppliers and vendors for best deals in terms of quality of products and better payment terms.
  • To ensure building and maintaining long-term professional relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • To monitor the compliance of procurement policies and procedures in every procurement deals throughout the organization.
  • To coordinate and arrange approval of finalized rates for at least minimum one quarter for all regular consumables.
  • To determine the organizational and strategic unit purchasing needs in professional manners and ensure the consolidation of all relevant items’ procurement on best deals.
  • To train and develop the procurement team at the strategic units’ level.
  • To execute and maintain service level agreements at the organization level.
  • To continually evaluate Procurement policies of the overall organization and suggest improvements to bring cost savings and efficiency.
  • Managing procurement budgets in the most efficient manner by promoting long-term saving on procurement costs.
  • To oversee and review procurement contracts and agreements for ensuring the best procurement deals with protecting the interests of the organization.

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree / MBA in supply chain management from HEC recognized institute/university.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in procurement / supply chain management, preferably with Educational / Healthcare industry.
