We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. The Speech Therapist will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders.
- Therapy Sessions: Conduct therapy sessions with patients, either individually or in groups, to improve communication and swallowing skills.
- Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Collaboration with Interdisciplinary Team: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists, physical therapists, and physicians, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Communication with Patients and Families: Communicate effectively with patients and their families to educate them on treatment plans, progress, and home programs.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology by attending workshops, conferences, and online courses.
