Riphah International University seeks a dedicated Biological Engineer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining hospital instruments and equipment, ensuring their optimal function and reliability. In addition, this role requires monitoring medical gases to guarantee safety and compliance with established protocols. This position demands a detail-oriented individual with at least two years of experience in a related medical or biological engineering environment. The position does not include managing a team but involves close collaboration with healthcare and technical staff to support the hospital's operational needs effectively. The Biological Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining the hospital's technological infrastructure by performing routine checks, troubleshooting issues, and supporting the integration of new equipment. The engineer ensures that medical gases are delivered safely throughout the facility, adhering strictly to health and safety guidelines. Through meticulous attention to detail and adherence to maintenance schedules, the Biological Engineer helps safeguard patient care quality and the smooth operation of medical services within the university's healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities

• Set up hospital instruments and medical equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and hospital protocols.
• Operate and conduct regular maintenance of biomedical devices to ensure continuous functionality and safety.
• Monitor, regulate, and maintain medical gas systems within the hospital to meet health and safety standards.
• Perform routine testing and calibration of equipment to guarantee accuracy and reliability of medical devices.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to biomedical equipment and instrumentation.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed on hospital instruments and medical gas systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and technical staff to ensure seamless operation of medical technologies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards.
• Support training efforts by assisting in educating hospital staff on the correct use of biomedical equipment when needed.
• Participate in equipment selection and procurement processes by providing technical expertise and recommendations.
